Atomic has been in the ski industry since 1955 and began making bindings in 1988. In 1989 they bought Koflach who manufacture mountaineering and ski mountaineering equipment. Atomic's factory, based in Altenmarkt in Austria, nestles in a valley surrounding by the Austrian Alps.
